GCMC is pleased to provide immigration assistance for companies operating in Afghanistan. Due to the recently signed Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) and NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), new regulations are in place for contractors working under either of these two international agreements. ACS has established efficient processes to obtain visas under the BSA/SOFA, as well as under the old process, which still applies to companies not operating under the BSA/SOFA.
For BSA/SOFA-related visas, a work permit is no longer required. GCMC can provide secure courier services to pick up and deliver passports in Afghanistan. Furthemore, we handle the invoicing process, allowing our client to simply provide one payment in the method they prefer.
For non-BSA/SOFA visas, a work permit is still required. GCMC will assist in obtaining an invitation letter, single-entry visa, work permit and then will assist in converting the single-entry visa to a multiple-entry visa. The procedures of obtaining New Business License and Renewal for USG and NATO contractors were enacted by the Presidential Decree no (38). Nonetheless the new procedure not only curtails the time of acquiring new license or renewal of the existence, but also provides the luxury of handling the procedures through Legal Representative (introduced by Resolute Support office of Legal Advisor) or Power of Attorney on the conditions of the authentication of the required documents by Embassy or Consulate of Afghanistan. Under the BSA,
which is also published in the Official Gazette # 1160, Afghanistan Investment Support Agency will issue a business license valid for three years. Based on the Presidential Decree no (38) the prerequisite for USG or NATO prime and subcontractor’s to operate in Afghanistan is to obtain Business License Issued by the Afghanistan Investment Support Agency. Applications that are submitted accurately and with complete documentation, typically take about 4 days; however our vast experience and professionalism in the field allow us to provide our clients the fastest and best possible service.
